Google Sightseeing: Svalbard

As mentioned in our article on the Norwegian Arctic archipelago of Svalbard, this week saw the latest TBG article for Google Sightseeing commemorate the newly-released Google Street View imagery for the islands; the northernmost such imagery released to date (you can view the article here). The imagery begins in the picturesque world’s northernmost city, Longyearbyen (named for an American resource magnate, in case you were wondering) and then carries northwards through spectacular mountains and over glaciers to the abandoned Soviet-era coal mining town of Pyramiden.
