Site News: The Basement Geographer Meets Google Sightseeing

The good folks at the mighty Google Sightseeing were nice enough to ask me to write a post for their site, and the result has been posted today. While here at The Basement Geographer I try to write on all manner of geo-related topics from around the globe, for GSS I decided I’d show the world a slice of my own backyard in the form of a tour of the Arrow Lakes and the lower Kootenay River. It was a rather fun article to write; it’s not often I get to talk about my own corner of the world. Thanks again to the Turnbull brothers for inviting me to contribute (you can really say ‘thank you’ by buying their book, which is a rather fun coffee-table conversation piece).
